Aalborg Energie Technik a/s (AET) Biomass Co-generation Plant:

Pfleiderer, Neumarkt, Germany

The Pfleiderer Neumarkt site contains a biomass-fired co-generation plant owned and operated by Pfleiderer AG.

The CHP Plant was the second plant delivered to Pfleiderer AG and was mentioned as Best Available Technology (BAT) in the IPPC report 'Large Combustion Plants' published by the EU in 2006.

The CHP plant annually burns 200,000 tons of contaminated wood chips, demolition wood, railway sleepers, saw and sander dust.

Increased Capacity to 100 MW

The station was commissioned in 1997 for a capacity of 73 MWfuel heat input. In 2001 the power station was increased in capacity to 100 MWfuel heat input by AET.
