Retrofitting Boilers from Coal to Biomass Combustion
Reducing CO2 emissions are on the minds of many people.
There are many ways to reduce emissions - if you have a coal-fired plant now – retrofitting the plant to combusting biomass is a cost and time efficient way to do it.
Here are two well-functioning examples of fuel conversion:
Østkraft (DK): Converted to combusting biomass (74 MWt) as primary fuel and oil/coal as back-up, by using AET Combi Spreader
Randers (DK): Converted to combusting biomass (2 x 95 MWt) as primary fuel and coal as back-up, by using AET Combi Spreader.
There are many possibilities for converting from coal to biomass, which can be customised to your specific needs.
