The Zignago Power is a biomass fired power plant, which is being built and will be operated by Zignago Power S.r.l.
Zignago Power S.r.l. belongs to the familiy owned Zignago Holding SpA.
The biomass power plant will be fired with forestry wood or clean, uncontaminated wood residues and agricultural waste (e.g. straw, mischantus, maize).
AET supply
AET designs, supplies, constructs and commissions the following scope of supply:
- AET fuel feeding and dosing system
- AET Combustion System Spreader Stoker with AET-Biograte
- Oil burner
- AET boiler with superheater and economiser
- AET overfire air system
- AET Steam air preheaters
- Condensate preheaters
- Feed water system
- Ash handling system
- Flue gas cleaning with absorbent injection system
- Stack
- PLC control system and instrumentation
- SCADA system
- Piping in boiler house and turbine hall
- Ducting
- Insulation
- Structural steel for boiler house and cladding
- Platforms and stairs
Besides this, AET assists in engineering for the steam turbine and condenser as well as heat balance optimisation.
The biomass power plant is to be completed and commissioned in 2012.

Zignago Power (february 2011), a biomass power plant in Italy, is to be completed and commissioned in 2012. The plant has a 49 MW AET Biomass Boiler.

The biomass power plant is designed to be fuel flexible and will e.g. be fired with wood chips and agricultural waste from production of maize.
