Installation of SNCR plants on 2 heavy fuel oil fired boilers: In 2007 Aalborg Energie Technik a/s was asked to install DeNOx plant equipment on the two heavy fuel oil fired boilers based on own SNCR technology, and from January 2008 both units were back in full operation in due time to meet the new emission requirements.

Scope of work and services: 2003: Upgrading of license to burn heavy contaminated fuel, class AIII-AIV. 2004: 170 m2 Inconel 625 weld overlay on furnace panel walls. 2007: Supply and installation of SNCR deNOx plant for NOx reduction. Half-yearly inspection of boiler and combustion system. Various overhaul and spare parts supply.

Western Wood Energy Plant

The Western Wood Energy Power Plant is a biomass fired power plant with an annual fuel input of 160,000 tons of forestry wood or clean, uncontaminated residues from wood processing. The O&M of the complete plant was carried out through a UK registered O&M company partly owned by AET, and supported by the team in Aalborg.
