The Pannovosges Plant is a biomass fired plant that burns approx. 92.000 tons of wood chips, chipboard waste, bark and sander dust annually.
The plant was the first supply to the Pfleiderer AG and is also mentioned as Best Available Technology (BAT) in the IPPC report "Large Combustion Plants" made by the EU in 2006. Plant upgraded in 2000
In 2000 the plant was upgraded with a new and more robust AET dust firing system and ash re-injection system.
The supply
AET employees have carried out the design, engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of the complete boiler plant. The systems supplied include:
- Fuel dosing system
- Combustion system with spreader stoker and travelling grate
- Boiler with integrated thermal oil heat exchanger and economizer
- AET dust firing system
- Over fire air system
- Water treatment system
- Ash handling
- Bag filter
- Stack
- Feed water system
- Electrical installations
- PLC control system and instrumentation
- SCADA system
- Piping and ducting
- Insulation
