Aalborg Energie Technik a/s (AET) Biomass Boiler Plant

ENGIE COFELY, SODC Orleans, France

The SODC Orleans plant supplies district heating for the northern part of Orleans. The district heating network covers 15,000 homes, equivalent to 27% of the city of Orleans.

The wood (110,000 tons/year) is supplied within a radius of 150 kilometers and is based on three fuel resources: forestry products, residues from sawmills, and clean recycled wood.


The plant has been completed and commissioned in february 2015.
