The Biopower Plant is a biomass fired heat and power plant which was built, owned and operated by the german sawmill Schneider Holz GmbH.
A major benefit from building the power plant was to eliminate the waste wood, which was produced at the sawmill every day.
The plant has an annual fuel input of 53.000 tons of wood chips, wood waste, and demolition wood.
Availability at 94%
The plant was completed and commissioned in 2004 and supplied within 15 months. In 2007 the whole CHP plant had an availability of app. 94%.
